International Women's Day 2009
Our theme for 2009 was around successful mothers and daughters. We were delighted to be able to present Carla Zampatti, (Internationally renowned Fashion Designer) and her daughter Bianca Spender (Fashion Designer), who participated in a panel discussion which also included The Hon Bronwyn Bishop MP and Angela Bishop (Channel Tens, Entertainment Reporter) These ‘Mother Daughter’ Duos spoke about their personal experiences on what they believe it takes to be a successful woman. They addressed questions such as ‘Are the challenges women face in business today any different to what our mothers faced?’ and ‘Have things improved for women?’
TOPICS COVERED: With the theme being around successful mothers and daughters, we were presented with some truly inspirational stories from the talented women attending. While it was lighthearted, the day showcased just how successful women can be in any career that they choose to follow.
